2014 Award of Merit
Sea Pines Country Club Recipient of CMAA Award of Merit
The award was given in recognition of Sea Pines Country Club’s efforts to foster the enjoyment of fine wines through a variety of programs and marketing strategies. Recipients of the award are judged on the following criteria: Wine Selections; Wine Pricing & Sales; Wine Programs, Staffing & Administration. Members of the Club’s staff have worked to elevate the quality of the Club’s wine list, to increase wine sales, advance staff knowledge about wines and to provide informative, enjoyable programs that show case the Club’s outstanding food and wine products. The Club offers at least one wine specific program per month for the enjoyment of Sea Pines members and their guests.





Tee It Up For The Troops-Certificate of Appreciation
Sea Pines Country Club was presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Sea Pines Country Club. The certificate both thanks and recognizes the Club's partnership with Tee it up for the Troops. This program reflects the pride and respect for the heroes who have sacrificed so much to protect this great nation.

Sea Pines Country Club Recipient of CMAA Award of Merit
The award was given in recognition of Sea Pines Country Club’s efforts to foster the enjoyment of fine wines through a variety of programs and marketing strategies. Recipients of the award are judged on the following criteria: Wine Selections; Wine Pricing & Sales; Wine Programs, Staffing & Administration. The award is the culmination of the efforts of the Club’s Food & Beverage Manager, Robert Parody and the Sea Pines Country Club Wine Committee. Robert, the Committee and members of the Club’s staff has worked to elevate the quality of the Club’s wine list, to increase wine sales, advance staff knowledge about wines and to provide informative, enjoyable programs that show case the Club’s outstanding food and wine products. The Club offers at least one wine specific program per month for the enjoyment of Sea Pines members and their guests.




Sea Pines Country Club was recently honored as a recipient of an Award of Distinction from the International Wine Society of the Club Managers Association of America for 2011. The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is a professional Association of managers in private clubs in the United States and Canada with over 7,000 members in over 3,000 private clubs.

This is the third consecutive year
that Sea Pines has received this prestigious award. The Club received its first Award of Merit in 2008. The award is presented in recognition of efforts by Sea Pines Country Club’s staff, management and committee members to foster the enjoyment of fine wines through a variety of programs and marketing strategies. Recipients of the award are judged on the following criteria: Wine Selections; Wine Pricing & Sales; Wine Programs, Staffing & Administration.

The award is the culmination of the efforts of the Club’s Food & Beverage Team led by Jerry Vaughan, Clubhouse Manager and Robert Parody, Director of Food and Beverage Service, the Sea Pines Country Club staff and the Club’s Wine Committee. Robert Parody has spearheaded efforts to elevate the quality of the Club’s wine list, to increase wine sales, advance staff knowledge about wines and to provide informative, enjoyable programs that show case the Club’s outstanding food and wine products. Robert will receive the award on behalf of the Club at the 84th CMAA World Conference and Club Business Expo in Orlando Florida in February. The Club offers several wine specific programs each year for the enjoyment of Sea Pines members and their guests.


Sea Pines Country Club has served as the host venue for the Hilton Head Island Hospitality Association Winefest Grand Wine Tasting for many years and has played an active role in the community to foster greater enjoyment and understanding of fine wines.

Certificate of Appreciation
- Sea Pines Country Club received a Certificte of Appreciation from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for participation in the 2010 Play for P.I.N.K program, supporting and benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Sea Pines Country Club was recently honored as recipient of an Award of Distinction from the International Wine Society of the Club Managers Association of America. The award was presented in recognition of efforts by the staff and management of Sea Pines Country Club’s to foster the enjoyment of fine wines by its members through programming, training, and menus. Recipients of the award are judged on the following criteria: Wine Selections; Wine Pricing & Sales; Wine Programs, Staffing & Administration.

The award is the culmination of efforts of the Club’s Food & Beverage Manager, Robert Parody, the Sea Pines Country Club Wine Committee and other members of the food and beverage team. The International Wine Society presented Sea Pines Country Club with an Award of Merit in 2008. The Award of Distinction is the pinnacle of the Society’s recognition program and is the result of focused efforts by Parody and his team to elevate the quality of the Club’s wine list, increase wine sales, elevate staff knowledge about wines and to provide informative, enjoyable member programs that showcase the Club’s outstanding food and wine products. Sea Pines Country Club offers at least one wine specific program per month for the enjoyment of its members.

Sea Pines Country Club has served as the host venue for the Chamber of Commerce Taste of the Seasons and Hilton Head Island Hospitality Association Winefest: the Grand Wine Tasting.
